Kalpataru Power Transmission gains on reporting 37% rise in Q4 net profit

Kalpataru Power Transmission is currently trading at Rs. 356.60, up by 4.80 points or 1.36% from its previous closing of Rs. 351.80 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 361.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 363.00 and Rs. 355.05 respectively. So far 3981 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 367.00 on 09-May-2017 and a 52 week low of Rs. 208.00 on 09-Nov-2016.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 363.00 and Rs. 336.60 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 5472.40 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 59.45%, while institutions and non-institutions held 25.50% and 15.05% respectively.

Kalpataru Power Transmission has reported a rise of 36.54% in its net profit at Rs 89.60 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2017 as compared to Rs 65.62 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income from operations of the company increased by 12.19% at Rs 1522.54 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 1357.15 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2016. 

For the year ended March 31, 2017, the company has posted a rise of 39.83% in its net profit at Rs 269.08 crore as compared to Rs 192.43 crore in FY16. Total income of company increased by 13.65% at Rs 5010.74 crore for year under review as compared to Rs 4408.80 crore for the year ended March 31, 2016.

For the year ended March 31, 2017, on the consolidated basis, the company has posted over 2-fold jump in its net profit at Rs 157.30 crore as compared to Rs 75.81 crore in the previous year. Total income of the company increased by 4.63% at Rs 7629.15 crore for year under review as compared to Rs 7291.74 crore for the year ended March 31, 2016.
