Tata Motors forms consortium to seek solutions for electric bus mobility: Report

Tata Motors, Ashok Leyland and Mahindra & Mahindra have reportedly come together to jointly seek solutions for electric bus mobility. The car consortium for which the companies had got together is converted to an e-bus consortium.

The joint move towards electric buses comes shortly after the government was seen laying down greater emphasis on moving to electric vehicles including public transport such as buses.

Tata Motors is India's largest automobile company. Through subsidiaries and associate companies, Tata Motors has operations in the UK, South Korea, Thailand, South Africa and Indonesia. Among them is Jaguar Land Rover, the business comprising the two iconic British brands.
