Adani Power advances on receiving nod to hive off Mundra power business

Adani Power is currently trading at Rs. 27.60, up by 0.35 points or 1.28% from its previous closing of Rs. 27.25 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 27.85 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 28.00 and Rs. 27.55 respectively. So far 2,88,000 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 46.30 on 11-Apr-2017 and a 52 week low of Rs. 23.35 on 09-Nov-2016.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 28.25 and Rs. 26.60 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 10,645.00 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 68.08%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 24.79% and 7.12% respectively.

Adani Power has received an approval for slump sale of its Mundra Power Generating Business Undertaking generating 4620 MW of Power, to its subsidiary company, namely, Adani Power (Mundra).

This sale is for a lump sum consideration, without values being assigned to the individual assets and liabilities. The sale shall be subject to statutory and regulatory approvals, as may be required. The board of directors at its meeting held on June 6, 2017 has approved for the same.

Adani Power is engaged in the business of generation, accumulation, distribution and supply of power and to generally deal in electricity and to explore, develop, generate, accumulate, supply and distribute or to deal in other forms of energy from any source whatsoever.
