Pratibha Industries along with its joint venture (JV) partner China Rail First Group Company has bagged an order worth Rs 467 crore from Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC), New Delhi. The company has secured a contract viz., design and construction of tunnel by Shield TBM and Janpath and Mandi House Stations by cut and cover method between Central Secretariat and Mandi House for underground works under Delhi MRTS Project.
The scope of work for this project includes designing, engineering and construction of two sections of underground twin tunnels for Metro Phase 3 project of DMRC MRTS project. One section is from Janpath to Mandi House and the second section is from Janpath to Central Secretariat, including the construction of one station at Janpath and extension of a station at Mandi House. The field construction is expected to commence in first week of July 2011 and the project is scheduled to be completed in 36 months. Pratibha Industries’ share is 51 percent in this project.
Pratibha Industries’ net profit soared 31% to Rs 27.40 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2011 against Rs 20.92 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2010. The company has reported net sales / income from operations of Rs 388.65 crore for the quarter under review against Rs 300.19 crore for the corresponding quarter of the previous year.
For the year ended March 31, 2011, the company’s net profit increased 26% to Rs 71.42 crore against Rs 56.51 crore for the year ended March 31, 2010. The company has reported net sales / income from operations of Rs 1268.10 crore for the year ended March 31, 2011 against Rs 1007.15 crore for the year ended March 31, 2010.
Pratibha Industries is engaged in the business of integrated infrastructure solutions and manufacture of SAW pipes. As the company moves ahead, it has laid increased emphasis on devising its business strategy on aggressive top line growth, a de-risked business model and increased operational efficiencies.
