Larsen & Toubro’s (L&T) construction arm -- L&T Constructions has bagged orders worth Rs 2,231 crore across various business segments. The company’s Building & Factories Business has bagged a turnkey order worth Rs 1,324 crore from Andhra Pradesh Township Infrastructure Development Corporation for the construction of residential buildings in the West Godavari District of Andhra Pradesh. The scope of work includes construction of around 22,000 residential units on a fast track mode.
Under Power Transmission & Distribution (PT&D) Business, it has bagged major orders worth Rs 540 crore. A transmission line order has been secured from Power Grid Corporation of India to build a section in the ±800kV HVDC bipole link between the Western and Southern Regions. Further, an engineering, procurement and construction contract has been bagged from NHPC for the development of a 50MW Grid Connected Solar PV project including the evacuation arrangements, near the border of Theni and Dindigul districts in Tamil Nadu.
The company’s Water & Effluent Treatment Business has won an order worth Rs 367 crore from Tamil Nadu Water Supply & Drainage Board to execute a dedicated water supply project for Erode Corporation. The scope includes construction of an intake cum pump house in the river Cauvery, a 120 MLD water treatment plant, water storage structures along with supply & laying of clear water mains, feeder mains and distribution system.
