Reliance Power trades with traction on the bourses

Reliance Power is currently trading at Rs. 92.40, up by 1.95 points or 2.16% from its previous closing of Rs. 90.45 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 92.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 93.30 and Rs. 91.75 respectively. So far 562947 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 139.40 on 06-Mar-2012 and a 52 week low of Rs. 68.50 on 21-Dec-2011.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 94.65 and Rs. 90.15 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 25919.37 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 80.42% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 6.79% and 12.77% respectively. 

Reliance Power’s Moher and Moher Amlohri mines are likely to begin coal production by September. These mines are allocated to the 3,960 MW Sasan Ultra Mega Power project in Madhya Pradesh.

The company expects the Rs 20,000-crore plant will supply power to seven States at a levelised tariff of Rs 1.19 a kWh. By December, first unit of the 6 x 660 MW plant is likely to go on-stream and rest units at three-month intervals thereafter.

Reliance Power is part of the Reliance Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group and is established to develop, construct and operate power projects domestically and internationally. The Company on its own and through subsidiaries is currently developing 13 medium and large sized power projects with a combined planned installed capacity of 28,200 MW, one of the largest portfolios of power generation assets under development in India.
