VA Tech Wabag has entered into an agreement with Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) - Kanpur to develop sustainable villages on banks of the Ganges.
These sustainable villages, Model Ganga Grams, would be a part of Namami Gange and Swachh Bharat programmes launched by the Government of India. The initiative is supported by National Mission for Clean Ganga, Ministry of Water Resources, Ministry of Rural Development and Ministry of Gram Panchayat, New Delhi.
VA Tech Wabag is an India-based company engaged in the business of water treatment field. The company's principal activities include design, supply, installation, construction and operational management of drinking water, waste water treatment, industrial water treatment and desalination plants.
