Aptech gains on plans to open 150 centres this year

Aptech is currently trading at Rs. 72.80, up by 0.10 points or 0.14% from its previous closing of Rs. 72.70 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 73.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 74.00 and Rs. 72.55 respectively. So far 36864 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 147.90 on 29-Jul-2011 and a 52 week low of Rs. 64.00 on 09-May-2012.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 78.50 and Rs. 72.55 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 356.18 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 35.79% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 8.40% and 55.78% respectively.

Aptech, a global leader in learning solutions, is likely to expand into French-speaking parts of Africa, Columbia and Mexico by opening 150 centres this year. It already has an existence in 40 countries. The company plans most of expansion to be done on partnership or franchise model.

The company is expected to invest about Rs 3.5 crore on content this fiscal. Aptech's subsidiary, Maya Academy of Advanced Cinematics (MAAC), the 3D animation and visual effects training institute, entered into a partnership with the United Nations Information Centre for India and Bhutan for the second year.
