Power Grid surges on its arm commissioning project

Power Grid Corporation of India is currently trading at Rs. 217.65, up by 2.25 points or 1.04% from its previous closing of Rs. 215.40 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 215.50 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 218.15 and Rs. 215.50 respectively. So far 22805 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 220.00 on 18-Jul-2017 and a 52 week low of Rs. 162.20 on 21-Jul-2016.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 220.00 and Rs. 212.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 113944.02 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 57.90%, while institutions and non-institutions held 35.32% and 6.79% respectively.

Power Grid Corporation of India’s (PGCIL) wholly owned subsidiary - Power Grid Kala Amb Transmission has commissioned its project on July 12, 2017. The said project was secured though Tariff Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB).

Power Grid Corporation of India is an Indian state-owned electric utilities company headquartered in Gurgaon, India. Power Grid transmits about 50% of the total power generated in India on its transmission network.
