Tata Power’s arm commissions 2.67 MW of solar carport at Cochin International Airport

Tata Power’s wholly-owned subsidiary Tata Power Solar, formerly known as Tata BP Solar, has commissioned 2.67 MW of solar carport at Cochin International Airport. The project comprised putting together 8,472 solar panels on 27 carports spread over 20,289.9 square metre of area. The entire solar plant is aimed towards reducing 1,868 tonnes of CO2 annually.

The grid-connected car port plant required high-level engineering and designing skills for assembling the massive car port structures. Additionally, advanced technology and design was of utmost importance to match and maintain the quality standards in place.
