Yes Bank has been awarded with the ‘Best Digital Payments System by Banks for Smart Cities’ during the Smart City Conclave Chandigarh on July 29, 2017. The Bank has been a pioneer in creating Digital Payments ecosystem for Smart Cities, and is helping Smart Cities like Nashik, Udaipur & Puducherry in their journey towards becoming a ‘Less Cash’ driven economy.
In Nashik & Udaipur, the Bank is automating the delivery of Government’s services to citizens by the way of automating the CFC, and coming up with a mobility app linked to an open loop ‘Rupay’ Prepaid card for the residents and merchants for making day to day payments. In Puducherry, the Bank will launch an open loop ‘Rupay’ prepaid card with the Tourism Development Corporation.
