Hindustan Copper shines on turning black in Q1

Hindustan Copper is currently trading at Rs. 61.80, up by 2.00 points or 3.34% from its previous closing of Rs. 59.80 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 62.25 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 63.30 and Rs. 61.40 respectively. So far 126750 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 5 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 74.70 on 27-Jul-2017 and a 52 week low of Rs. 50.10 on 09-Nov-2016.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 64.40 and Rs. 59.25 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 5745.60 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 82.88%, while institutions and non-institutions held 13.43% and 3.69% respectively.

Hindustan Copper has reported a net profit of Rs 10.27 crore for the quarter under review as compared to a net loss of Rs 2.82 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income from operations of the company increased by 85.20% at Rs 406.08 crore for Q1FY18 as compared Rs 219.26 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

Hindustan Copper’s principal activities include mining of copper ore, concentration of copper ore into copper concentrate through a beneficiation process and also smelting, refining and extruding of the copper concentrate into refined copper in downstream saleable products.
