City Union Bank has introduced the option of an ‘instant credit card’ for free for its Net banking customers. The product seems to have caught the fancy of its customers instantly. Moreover, around 80 customers had generated a credit card on Day 1. The use of the card for instant transactions will, however, be allowed only from August 16, 2017.
The Bank has reported 13.59% rise in its net profit at Rs 140.32 crore for first quarter ended June 30, 2017 as compared to Rs 123.53 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the Bank increased by 8.78% at Rs 960.87 crore for Q1FY18 as compared Rs 883.31 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.
