Apollo Hospitals eyes increasing contribution of private labels to pharmacy business: Report

Apollo Hospitals Enterprise is reportedly aiming to increase the contribution of private labels to its pharmacy business. Currently, private labels account for around 6.5 per cent of the pharmacy business of the company and it is planning to take this up to 20 per cent in five years.

The company will achieve the same with a focus on health and wellness products, and tie ups with international brands. Moreover, the company has already tied up with UK-based health and wellness stores major Holland & Barret International and would look at similar tie ups in the future.

Apollo Hospitals Enterprise owns and operates chain of multi-specialty hospitals. It offers the services in the area of cardiology, cardiothoracic, orthopedics and joint replacement, spine surgery, oncology, etc.
