Karur Vysya Bank has opened its first rural digital centre at Kathirampatti, an unbanked rural village in Erode district, Tamil Nadu. The centre is part of the bank’s initiative to empower the rural populace in a cashless environment. It is meant to create a digital payments ecosystem for all day-to-day financial activities in the village.
Karur Vysya Bank is among six old generation private sector banks that have been identified by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) to implement Speed Clearing at Mumbai.
