Apollo Tyres rises on starting tyres supplies to various passenger car makers in Europe

Apollo Tyres is currently trading at Rs. 256.35, up by 1.35 points or 0.53% from its previous closing of Rs. 255.00 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 256.15 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 257.80 and Rs. 255.40 respectively. So far 50844 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 288.30 on 07-Aug-2017 and a 52 week low of Rs. 171.60 on 16-Feb-2017.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 258.00 and Rs. 248.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 13059.03 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 44.15%, while institutions and non-institutions held 40.31% and 15.54% respectively.

Apollo Tyres has started supplying tyres to various passenger car makers in Europe, including Volkswagen and Ford. The company's premium tyre brand Vredestein has been selected as a fitment on the Volkswagen Polo, Seat Ibiza and Ford EcoSport and the supplies have already begun to these auto makers. The tyre major had earlier been primarily focusing on replacement market in Europe.

The company has started tyre supplies to the European customers from its Hungary-based manufacturing facility. In India, the company continues to partner various leading passenger vehicle manufacturers.

Apollo Tyres is one of the leading tyre manufacturers in India with its product portfolio spread across tubeless and tube type tyres for cars, suvs, trucks, buses etc.
