IRB Infra’s arm receives Provisional Certificate for Kaithal - Rajasthan Project

IRB Infrastructure Developers’ Kaithal - Rajasthan Border BOT Project implemented by wholly-owned SPV of the company - Kaithal Tollway (SPV), has been issued a Provisional Certificate by the Competent Authority effective September 6, 2017. Consequently, the SPV has started partial toll collection on this project from September 8, 2017; four months ahead of the scheduled commercial operation date.

The project is of four laning of Kaithal - Rajasthan Border Section of NH-152/65 from km 33.250 to km 241.580 (Design Length 166 km) in the state of Haryana to be executed as BOT (Toll) on DBFOT Pattern under NHDP Phase - IV; Out of the design length of 166 kms of the Project, 144 Km have been completed, which is approximately 87% of the design length.

The concession period of the project is 27 years including construction period of 2.5 years. The cost of the Project is Rs 2,290 crore. The company had bagged this Project on Viability Gap Funding (VGF) basis and sought Viability Gap Funding of Rs 234 Crore from NHAI.
