HCC’s wholly owned subsidiary - HCC Infrastructure will raise Rs 240 crore by diluting 14.5% stake in HCC Concessions, its wholly owned subsidiary. The stake shall be acquired by the Xander Group, a global investment firm focused on infrastructure, hospitality, retail and real estate sectors.
The transaction values HCC Concessions which designs, finances, builds and operates transport infrastructure at Rs 1,650 crore and is aimed at supporting the future growth of the business. Presently, HCC Concessions portfolio includes six NHAI concessions which include one annuity project and five toll roads.
Recently, HCC in a joint venture (JV) with Alstom had bagged a prestigious contract worth Rs 1843 crore from THDC India to construct Tehri Pumped storage plant in Tehri, Uttarakhand. This is an Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contract wherein HCC’s share is Rs 701 crore and the project is to be completed in 54 months.
