M&M bags contract to supply 150 electric sedans: Report

Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) has reportedly bagged a contract from the government to supply 150 electric sedans after the company agreed to match the lowest bid quoted by Tata Motors. The agreement is for the first phase of total 500 electric vehicles. Of this Tata Motors will supply 250 vehicles. Tenders for 100 more electric cars will be placed when required.

M&M is the flagship company of the Mahindra Group, a multinational conglomerate based in Mumbai, India. Amongst the various business interests of its parent group, the company is mainly involved in the automobile manufacturing. It is one of the leading auto companies of India.
