PFC gains on extending Rs 1,329 crore loan to Uttarakhand power utilities

Power Finance Corporation (PFC) is currently trading at Rs. 123.50, up by 0.20 points or 0.16% from its previous closing of Rs. 123.30 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 123.45 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 124.45 and Rs. 123.45 respectively. So far 75,000 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 169.00 on 11-Apr-2017 and a 52 week low of Rs. 103.30 on 09-Nov-2016.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 126.20 and Rs. 122.15 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 32,604.00 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 66.35%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 28.24% and 5.41% respectively.

PFC has extended financial assistance of Rs 1,329 crore to state power utilities of Uttarakhand. The company will provide Rs 1,020 crore to Power Transmission Corporation of Uttarakhand (PTCUL) for implementation of various transmission schemes. It will also provide Rs 309 crore to Uttaranchal Jal Vidyut Nigam (UJVNL) for renovation and modernization and up-gradation of Chilla Hydroelectric Project.

PFC provides large range of financial products and services like project term loan, lease financing, direct discounting of bills, short term loan, and consultancy services for various power projects in generation, transmission, distribution sector as well as for renovation and modernization of existing power projects.
