Atul trades higher on the bourses

Atul is currently trading at Rs. 208.00, up by 1.40 points or 0.68% from its previous closing of Rs. 206.60 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 207.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 215.00 and Rs. 207.00 respectively. So far 13111 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 240.60 on 21-Jul-2011 and a 52 week low of Rs. 135.00 on 02-Jan-2012.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 216.00 and Rs. 202.50 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 623.64 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 50.10% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 9.05% and 40.85% respectively.

Atul has vehemently denied the report that it is in process of selling its Aromatics Business. The company denied the report after the news/rumour appeared in the market. The company also stated that it has made substantial investment in the business in the recent past and has continued interest in growing the business.

Atul is a member of Lalbhai Group, one of the oldest business houses of India, with interests mainly in textiles and chemicals. The Group is strongly committed to serve the society in the fields of education, health as well as culture. The company operates through six business divisions, namely, Agrochemicals, Aromatics, Bulk Chemicals & Intermediates, Colors, Pharmaceuticals & Intermediates and Polymers.
