Delta Corp gains on entering into MoU with Everest Hospitality and Hotel

Delta Corp is currently trading at Rs. 252.50, up by 2.25 points or 0.90% from its previous closing of Rs. 250.25 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 251.60 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 253.00 and Rs. 251.00 respectively. So far 52,000 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 253.00 on 26-Oct-2017 and a 52 week low of Rs. 94.85 on 27-Dec-2016.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 253.00 and Rs. 229.50 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 6,727.00 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 35.29%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 19.23% and 45.50% respectively.

Delta Corp has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Everest Hospitality and Hotel for leasing space at the upcoming five star Marriot Hotel in Kathmandu, Nepal to operate a casino. Delta will initiate steps to obtain a casino license from the Government of Nepal and the commencement of operations of the casino will be subject to receipt of the license.

With this proposed casino in Kathmandu, Delta aims to expand its imprint outside India, in line with its strategy of expanding in the region.

Delta Corp is the largest gaming company in India and the only listed company in this space. The company is an early entrant in this space and has attained a leadership position in a short span of time.
