Bajaj Auto catches speed on the bourses

Bajaj Auto is currently trading at Rs. 3193.00, up by 29.75 points or 0.94% from its previous closing of Rs. 3163.25 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 3167.10 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 3209.60 and Rs. 3161.00 respectively. So far 2769 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 3337.40 on 27-Oct-2017 and a 52 week low of Rs. 2510.00 on 15-Nov-2016.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 3292.00 and Rs. 3150.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 92552.59 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 49.30%, while institutions and non-institutions held 26.04% and 24.66% respectively.

Bajaj Auto is reportedly looking to garner 23% market share by the end of FY18 in domestic motorcycle market, from its existing standing at 19%. The motorcycle maker has recently revamped its entry-level product line-up, including CT100 and Platina and is confident to sustain volumes. The company is planning to maintain same volumes in the segment, as compared to what it posted in the past two months.

Bajaj Auto is world’s fourth largest two and three-wheeler manufacturer. Bajaj Auto has three plants in all, two at Waluj and Chakan in Maharashtra and one plant at Pant Nagar in Uttaranchal.
