Allahabad Bank surges on raising Rs 600 crore on private placement basis

Allahabad Bank is currently trading at Rs. 78.70, up by 0.90 points or 1.16% from its previous closing of Rs. 77.80 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 80.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 80.00 and Rs. 77.95 respectively. So far 82265 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 92.50 on 12-May-2017 and a 52 week low of Rs. 57.00 on 27-Dec-2016.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 83.85 and Rs. 76.70 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 6289.69 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 68.32%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 20.84% and 10.84% respectively.

Allahabad Bank has successfully raised Additional Tier 1 (AT 1) Capital of Bank through Private Placement of AT 1 Perpetual Bonds Series III aggregating to Rs 600.00 crore at an annual coupon of 9.34% p.a., discovered through Electronic Bidding Mechanism of NSE (NSE EBP).

Earlier, the bank had received an approval for raising Additional Tier 1 capital of the bank aggregating up to Rs 2,000 crore through Private Placement in one or more tranches during FY 2017-18.

Allahabad Bank is a nationalised bank with its headquarters in Kolkata. It is the oldest joint stock bank in India.
