Reliance Infra secures EPC contract for two units of KNPP: Report

Reliance Infrastructure (RInfra) has reportedly secured an EPC contract for units 3 and 4 of Kudankulam Nuclear Power Project (KNPP) in Tamil Nadu, built by Nuclear Power Corporation and Russian State-owned atomic energy corporation Rosatom.

The work includes design, engineering, procurement, manufacture, supply, erection and construction, testing, commissioning, handing over and performance guarantee of common services systems, structures and components for the two units, each of 1,000 MW capacity. The order is to be commissioned in 56 months.

Reliance Infrastructure is one of the largest infrastructure companies, developing projects through various Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs) in several high growth sectors such as Power, Roads and Metro Rail in the Infrastructure space and the Defence sector.
