Indian Hotels surges after Tata Sons hikes stake to 29.79%

Indian Hotels Company is currently trading at Rs. 110.95, up by 0.50 points or 0.45% from its previous closing of Rs. 110.45 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 113.95 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 113.95 and Rs. 110.80 respectively. So far 37864 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 136.33 on 18-May-2017 and a 52 week low of Rs. 83.12 on 21-Nov-2016.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 116.50 and Rs. 109.20 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 13236.49 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 38.65%, while institutions and non-institutions held 40.79% and 20.56% respectively.

Tata Sons has raised its holding in Indian Hotels Company by 1.78% to 29.79% pursuant to a rights issue. Tata Sons earlier had 28.01% stake in the hospitality major.

Indian Hotels Company and its subsidiaries are collectively known as Taj Hotels Resorts and Palaces and recognized as one of Asia's largest and finest hotel company. It operates in the luxury, premium, mid-market and value segments of the market.
