Rural Electrification Corporation (REC) has been conferred with the ‘Certificate of Recognition for Excellence in Corporate Governance’ by the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI), in recognition of its continuous efforts and innovative practices in promoting good corporate governance.
The award certificate was received at the 17th ICSI National Awards for Excellence in Corporate Governance Ceremony held on December 16, 2017 at Jaipur.
REC is engaged in providing financial assistance to state electricity boards, state government departments and rural electric co-operatives for rural electrification projects as are sponsored by them.
