Canara Bank gains on fund raising plan

Canara Bank is currently trading at Rs. 366.15, up by 0.75 points or 0.21% from its previous closing of Rs. 365.40 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 370.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 370.00 and Rs. 364.65 respectively. So far 46411 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 463.40 on 26-Oct-2017 and a 52 week low of Rs. 250.17 on 02-Jan-2017.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 371.90 and Rs. 340.60 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 21920.55 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 66.30%, while institutions and non-institutions held 27.42% and 6.28% respectively.

Canara Bank is planning to raise funds by issue of equity shares through Qualified Institutional Placement (QIP) route and connected issues. The Board Meeting of the Bank is scheduled to be held on December 26, 2017, to consider the same.

Canara Bank is an Indian state-owned bank headquartered in Bangalore, in Karnataka. It was established at Mangalore in 1906, making it one of the oldest banks in the country.
