01 Jan 2018 Evaluate

Canara Bank has withdrawn its stake sale plan in Canara Robeco Asset Management Company (Canara Robeco AMC). Last year in October, the Bank had announced stake sale either in part or in full in its subsidiary - Canara Robeco Asset Management Company.

Now, given the tremendous growth opportunities offered by the Mutual Fund Industry in its current growth phase and the value it offers to its customers, Canara Bank has decided not to pursue the strategic sale of its stake in Canara Robeco Asset Management Company for the time being.

Canara Bank is an Indian state-owned bank headquartered in Bangalore, in Karnataka. It was established at Mangalore in 1906, making it one of the oldest banks in the country.
