Allahabad Bank rises on inking pact with NeSL

Allahabad Bank is currently trading at Rs. 74.15, up by 0.75 points or 1.02% from its previous closing of Rs. 73.40 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 77.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 77.00 and Rs. 73.20 respectively. So far 48182 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 92.50 on 12-May-2017 and a 52 week low of Rs. 59.45 on 02-Jan-2017.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 77.70 and Rs. 73.05 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 5941.59 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 68.32%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 20.84% and 10.84% respectively.

Allahabad Bank has signed an agreement with state-run National e-Governance Services (NeSL) for utilizing the latter’s Information Utility Services envisaged under the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016.

NeSL, owned by the government, is the first Information Utility entity registered by Insolvency and bankruptcy Board of India under IBBI (IU) Regulations, 2017.

Allahabad Bank is a nationalised bank with its headquarters in Kolkata. It is the oldest joint stock bank in India.
