The Commercial and Passenger Vehicles sales performance in domestic market in December 2017 was 54,627 units, a growth of 52%, over last year due to the increasing demand for vehicles across segments, new product launches and strategic customer initiatives.
Tata Motors’ Commercial Vehicles sales in domestic market in December 2017 were at 40,447 units, a growth of 62% compared to 24,998 units in December 2016. The cumulative sales performance of commercial vehicles in domestic market, grew by 17%, over last year and continues to grow month on month. The M&HCV trucks segment was at 15,828 units, higher by a strong 83%, over last year.
In December 2017, Tata Motors’ Passenger Vehicles sales performance was at 14,180 units, growth of 31%, over last year. Cumulative sales growth of Passenger Vehicles in the domestic market for the fiscal (April-Dec 2017) were at 129,229 units, a growth of 15%, compared to 112,539 units, in the same period last fiscal.
The company’s sales from exports stood at 6,044 units in December 2017, a growth of 26% over last year.
