Alps Industries gains on disposing stake held in subsidiary company

Alps Industries is currently trading at Rs. 6.00, up by 0.05 points or 0.84% from its previous closing of Rs. 5.95 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 6.24 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 6.24 and Rs. 5.93 respectively. So far 21281 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'T' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 9.53 on 27-Jan-2017 and a 52 week low of Rs. 4.50 on 20-Nov-2017.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 7.28 and Rs. 5.82 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 23.47 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 27.06%, while non-institutions held 72.93% stake in the company.

Alps Industries has disposed its shareholding in subsidiary company, namely Snowflakes Meditach. These investments were not contributing to the financials of the company since long time.

The sale was concluded on January 9, 2018 for a consideration of Rs 6.10 crore. The purchaser of shares of Snowflakes Meditach is Radix Investment and Leasing, which is not a related party of the company.

Alps Industries is a holding company, which is engaged in the textile business. The company manufactures and sells home furnishings, fashion accessories and yarns in India. Its segments include Home Furnishing & Fashion Accessories; Yarn, and Architectural Products.
