Rural Electrification Corporation (REC) has signed loan agreement with the Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation (TANGEDCO). The company has signed the same for setting up TANGEDCO’s Udangudi Stage-I, 2x660 MW coal-based Supercritical Thermal Power Project in Tuticorin, Tamil Nadu.
REC is engaged in providing financial assistance to state electricity boards, state government departments and rural electric co-operatives for rural electrification projects as are sponsored by them.
