Power Grid moves up on acquiring ERSS XXI Transmission

Power Grid Corporation of India is currently trading at Rs. 197.85, up by 1.35 points or 0.69% from its previous closing of Rs. 196.50 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 199.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 199.15 and Rs. 197.75 respectively. So far 29151 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 226.40 on 08-Aug-2017 and a 52 week low of Rs. 188.05 on 03-Mar-2017.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 203.25 and Rs. 195.50 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 103794.74 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 57.90%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 35.46% and 6.64% respectively.

Power Grid Corporation of India has acquired ERSS XXI Transmission, the Project SPV to establish Eastern Region Strengthening Scheme - XXI (ERSS-XXI) on build, own operate and maintain (BOOM) basis, from REC Transmission Projects Company (the Bid Process Coordinator).

The transmission system includes establishment of three new 400kV Substations and associated 400kV transmission lines in the State of Bihar. The transmission system is to be progressively constructed over a period of 38 months.
