Adani Power’s arm to set up Ultra-supercritical thermal power project at Jharkhand

Adani Power’s wholly owned subsidiary - Adani Power (Jharkhand) has received an approval for setting up of a 1600 MW (2 x 800 MW) Ultra-supercritical, coal based power plant at Godda, Jharkhand, for supply of power to the Bangladesh Power Development Board under a PPA with net capacity of 1496 MW for 25 years.

The estimated project cost for setting up this power plant is around Rs 13,450 crore, which would be financed by a mix of long term debt and equity. The project is expected to achieve Commercial Operation Date for both the units by May 2022. The Board of directors of the company at its meeting held on January 17, 2018 has approved for the same.

Adani Power is engaged in the business of generation, accumulation, distribution and supply of power and to generally deal in electricity and to explore, develop, generate, accumulate, supply and distribute or to deal in other forms of energy from any source whatsoever.
