Dr. Reddy’s recalls single lot of Docetaxel injection vials from US

Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories has recalled a single lot of Docetaxel injection vials, used for treatment of breast cancer. The vials were manufactured by the company at its Visakhapatnam facility. As per the US health regulator, a single lot of 1,051 vials of Docetaxel injection USP, 20 mg/mL was distributed in the US, Uzbekistan and Myanmar.

The company has recalled the drug on account of defective container. The voluntary ongoing recall is a class II recall and it is initiated in a situation, in which use of, or exposure to, a violative product may cause temporary or medically reversible adverse health consequences or where the probability of serious adverse health consequences is remote.
