Kansai Nerolac moves up on increasing capacity of manufacturing unit at Goindwal Sahib

Kansai Nerolac Paints is currently trading at Rs. 545.70, up by 1.90 points or 0.35% from its previous closing of Rs. 543.80 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 549.40 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 549.65 and Rs. 544.30 respectively. So far 3290 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 608.00 on 29-Dec-2017 and a 52 week low of Rs. 323.35 on 18-Jan-2017.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 564.30 and Rs. 536.55 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 29425.02 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 74.99%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 15.58% and 9.43% respectively.

Kansai Nerolac Paints has increased planned capacity of manufacturing unit at Goindwal Sahib near Amritsar in Punjab to 52800 KL per year from 36000 KL (i.e. 38000 MT). The budgeted cost of the project has also increased from Rs 180.50 crore to Rs 216.50 crore.

Earlier, the company’s board had approved the setting up of a paint manufacturing unit at Goindwal Sahib near Amritsar in Punjab having capacity of 38000 MT per year, which is expandable in phases, at an estimated cost of Rs 180.50 crore.
