Hindustan Zinc reports marginal fall in Q3 net profit

Hindustan Zinc has reported results for third quarter ended December 31, 2017.

The company has reported marginal fall of 3.88% in its net profit at Rs 2,230 crore for the quarter under review as compared to net profit of Rs 2,320 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. However, total income of the company increased by 4.10% at Rs 6,220 crore for Q3FY18 as compared Rs 5,975 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

Hindustan Zinc, the world’s second biggest zinc producer, operates the world’s third largest open-pit mine, and world’s largest Zinc Mine in Rampura Agucha, Rajasthan.
