Vijaya Bank declines on reporting 65% fall in Q3 net profit

Vijaya Bank is currently trading at Rs. 68.00, down by 1.25 points or 1.81% from its previous closing of Rs. 69.25 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 70.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 70.00 and Rs. 67.60 respectively. So far 157923 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 97.40 on 09-May-2017 and a 52 week low of Rs. 50.90 on 25-Jan-2017.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 63.30%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 22.62% and 14.09% respectively.

The Bank has reported 65.45% fall in its net profit at Rs 79.56 crore for third quarter ended December 31, 2017, as compared to Rs 230.28 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the Bank decreased by 7.10% at Rs 3450.81 crore for Q3FY18 as compared Rs 3714.37 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

The Bank’s gross NPA for the October-December quarter of the current fiscal improved to 6.17%, as compared to 6.98% in the same quarter of the previous year. Besides, Bank’s Net NPA stood at 3.99% in Q3FY18.
