Power Finance Corporation (PFC) has sanctioned a financial assistance of Rs 1,350.69 crore to Bihar Grid Company (BGCL) for a transmission line project. The amount has been sanctioned for construction of 16 - 400 kV, 220 kV and 132 kV transmission lines, 4 associated substations and 7 line bay extension works in Bihar. BGCL is a joint venture (JV) of PFC and Bihar State Power (Holding) Co.
PFC provides large range of financial products and services like project term loan, lease financing, direct discounting of bills, short term loan, and consultancy services for various power projects in generation, transmission, distribution sector as well as for renovation and modernization of existing power projects.
