The Commercial and Passenger Vehicles sales performance in domestic market in January 2018 was 59,441 units, a growth of 43%, over last year. The construction, manufacturing and logistics sectors aided in an increased demand across Commercial Vehicles segment during the month.
Tata Motors’ Commercial Vehicles sales in domestic market in January 2018 were at 39,386 units, a growth of 38% compared to 28,521 units in January 2017. The cumulative sales performance of commercial vehicles in domestic market for the fiscal (April 2017-January 2018), grew by 19%, over last year and continues to grow month on month. The M&HCV trucks segment was at 12,804 units, higher by 13%, over last year.
In January 2018, Tata Motors’ Passenger Vehicles sales performance was at 20,055 units, reporting growth of 55%, over last year. Cumulative sales growth of Passenger Vehicles in the domestic market for the fiscal (April-Dec 2017) were at 149,284 units, a growth of 15%, compared to 125,446 units, in the same period last fiscal.
The company’s Commercial Vehicles sales from exports stood at 4,900 units in January 2018, a growth of 5% over last year.
