Vijaya Bank opens 100 ultra small branches in Mandya, Karnataka

Vijaya Bank, a public sector lender has inaugurated 100 ultra small branches in financial inclusion (FI) villages of Mandya district in Karnataka. .S. Upendra Kamath, chairman and managing director of the bank formally inaugurated the branches. It has opened another 71 branches across the country.  Before March 31, 2012, Vijaya Bank has provided banking services to all the allotted 407 villages with population of above 2,000.

Vijaya Bank offers various products and services specific to various segments such as it has saving accounts for children, scheme for women clientele, credit facilities to minority communities like Zoroastrians, Buddhists are among others.
