Canara Bank to raise additional funds up to Rs 1,000 crore

Canara Bank has received an approval to raise additional equity share capital up to Rs 1,000 crore, through Qualified Institutional Placements (QIP)/Rights Issue/Preferential allotment/ Follow-on Public Offer/ Employee Stock Purchase Scheme (ESPS)/any other mode approved by the RBI/GOI. The board of the Bank has by way of Circular Resolution approved the same on February 8, 2018.

Canara Bank is an Indian state-owned bank headquartered in Bangalore, in Karnataka. It was established at Mangalore in 1906, making it one of the oldest banks in the country.
