Corporation Bank declines on reporting fraud amounting Rs 6.77 crore to CBI

Corporation Bank is currently trading at Rs. 32.05, down by 0.20 points or 0.62% from its previous closing of Rs. 32.25 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 32.45 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 32.45 and Rs. 30.60 respectively. So far 34382 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 64.70 on 05-May-2017 and a 52 week low of Rs. 30.60 on 28-Feb-2018.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 33.90 and Rs. 30.60 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 3641.90 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 70.76%, while institutions and non-institutions held 23.74% and 5.49% respectively.

Corporation Bank has reported fraud to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). The investigating agency has booked an auto dealer in Jamshedpur for allegedly defrauding the bank to the tune of Rs 6.77 crore.

The agency has booked auto dealer Ramnandi Estates and its directors - Akhouri Gopal, Sanjeeta Akhouri, Akhouri Nishant and Akhouri Nitesh. An empanelled valuer of the bank - Sanjay Kumar has also been named as accused in the FIR.

Corporation Bank is a Mangalore-based mid-sized public sector bank which was established in 1906.
