This has reference to clarification on news item tided ‘Another scam unearthed at PNB as CBI detect fresh fraud worth Rs 9 crores’. In this connection, PNB has informed that it is not a new fraud. Fraud had already been declared in respect of fraudulent and unauthorized issuance of two LOUs for Rs 9.10 cr in the account of Chandari Paper and Allied Products. The fraud had been reported to RBI on 13.02.2018 and simultaneously, on the same day complaint was lodged with CBI which has now been registered on 09.03.2018.
