Power Grid gains on bagging consultancy contract from Power Grid Company of Bangladesh

Power Grid Corporation of India is currently trading at Rs. 196.85, up by 1.10 points or 0.56% from its previous closing of Rs. 195.75 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 197.45 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 197.45 and Rs. 196.45 respectively. So far 3,66,000 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 226.40 on 08-Aug-2017 and a 52 week low of Rs. 189.00 on 01-Feb-2018.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 200.00 and Rs. 194.65 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 1,02,983.00 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 56.91%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 36.44% and 6.65% respectively.

Power Grid Corporation of India (PGCI) has bagged project management consultancy contract of Rs 21 crore from Power Grid of Bangladesh.

The company has secured Project Management Consultancy Contract for construction of 500 MW high-voltage direct current (HVDC) Back to Back station at Comilla North (Bangladesh) to transfer power through Surjamaninagar (India) - Comilla North (Bangladesh) with an estimated project cost of Rs 1,064 crore and consultancy fee of Rs 21 crore from Power Grid Company of Bangladesh.

PGCI is an Indian state-owned electric utilities company headquartered in Gurgaon, India. Power Grid transmits about 50% of the total power generated in India on its transmission network.
