03 Aug 2011 Evaluate

Kemrock Industries and Exports (KIEL), one of the leading manufacturers of fiber reinforced polymer (FRP) composites, launched a range of carbon fibre products for industrial applications under the brand name ‘JAITEC’. The products were launched by chairman of Hindustan Aeronautics (HAL) during his visit to Kemrock’s facilities yesterday.

Also, Kemrock and HAL have joined hands together by signing MOU for manufacture of carbon fibre prepregs. Initially HAL were contemplating to have the prepregs manufacturing facility at HAL Bengaluru, considering the proximity of its facilities. However, HAL, impressed by Kemrock’s commitment and capabilities at its facility at Vadodara, has decided to make prepregs at Kemrock, apart from the other grades of carbon fibre products.

KIEL manufactures and exports high-performance reinforced thermoset composites, commercially known as GRP/FRP Composites. It manufactures products for major industrial sectors and its product range comprises of gratings, poles, pipes, scaffolding (access system), pultruded profiles, cable management system, cage ladders, windmill blades and nacelle covers, railway interiors and exteriors, SMC/ FRP Doors, telecom towers etc.

HAL is a leading Indian aeronautical company with operations including design, development, manufacture, and maintenance of aircraft, helicopters and their related power plants, accessories, systems and equipment.
