Berger Paints rises on getting nod to install integrated paint plant in UP

Berger Paints India is currently trading at Rs. 268.90, up by 0.95 points or 0.35% from its previous closing of Rs. 267.95 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 268.30 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 269.30 and Rs. 268.25 respectively. So far 1067 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 285.75 on 25-Oct-2017 and a 52 week low of Rs. 230.80 on 23-Aug-2017.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 277.50 and Rs. 260.50 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 26130.46 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 74.99%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 14.25% and 10.77% respectively.

Berger Paints India has received an approval for installation of an integrated paint plant with water and solvent based decorative, industrial and protective coatings, resin, putty, emulsion and construction chemical manufacturing capabilities at an investment of about Rs 200 crore at Sandila Industrial Area in Uttar Pradesh (UP). Subject to all required consents and approvals, the project is likely to be completed by the end of the financial year 2019-20. The Board of Directors of the company approved the same.

Berger Paints India is the second largest paint company in India. It is present in all segments of paint including decorative, automotive, industrial, protective and powder coatings.
