Vijaya Bank moves up on reporting marginal rise in Q4 net profit

Vijaya Bank is currently trading at Rs. 61.50, up by 0.40 points or 0.65% from its previous closing of Rs. 61.10 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 61.90 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 62.00 and Rs. 60.85 respectively. So far 46191 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 97.40 on 09-May-2017 and a 52 week low of Rs. 50.50 on 26-Mar-2018.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 65.45 and Rs. 59.50 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 7968.34 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 68.77%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 18.23% and 12.99% respectively.

The Bank has reported a marginal rise of 1.63% in its net profit at Rs 207.31 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2018 as compared to Rs 203.99 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the Bank increased by 6.38% at Rs 3728.22 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 3504.73 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2017.

For the year ended March 31, 2018, the Bank has posted a marginal fall of 3.13% in its net profit at Rs 727.02 crore as compared to Rs 750.48 crore for the same period in the previous year. However, total income of the Bank increased marginally by 1.14% at Rs 14190.45 crore for year under review as compared to Rs 14030.72 crore for the period ended March 31, 2017.
