Govt denies merger of Jet Airways, Jet Lite

Government has not approved merger of Jet Airways and its subsidiary Jet Lite. As a result the merger scheme stands revoked and cancelled. Jet Airways and Jet Lite shall continue their respective operations as two separate legal entities with their respective Air Operator Certificates.

In September 2015 the merger proposal was approved by Jet Airways’ board and in April 2016 the merger proposal was cleared by the airline’s shareholders.

Jet Airways is India’s premier international airline, which operates flights to India and overseas. The company’s robust domestic India network spans the length and breadth of the country covering metro cities, state capitals and emerging destinations.
